Potential large quantity feedstock sources for advanced bio fuels are forestry waste and municipality waste. These can be turned with modern pyrolysis techniques into a bio oil. The fuel producers process these bio oils with modern hydrotreatment techniques into advanced biodiesel and SAF. The first larger scale operations are being built but these processes are still in a development stage. Much research is done to optimize this technology on large scale because of the large quantities of forestry and municipality waste available in the world.
